The Mary Jane Series is a collection of 3 pouches that feature the marguerite stitch and are fastened by a metal flex frame. All 3 were designed to have a similar look, yet have different functions. If you haven’t already, check out The MJ43 and the MJ44.

Video Resources
For the visual learners out there, these videos cover the stitches and techniques used throughout the pattern.
Review the fundamental stitches on this page. For this pattern, you need to know the chain (ch), single crochet (sc), and half double crochet (hdc).
The Marguerite stitch is also known as the star stitch. It is a loop stitch, which means loops are picked up along the top of a row and joined together with a chain. Then a row of plain stitches follows, in order to keep the marguerite facing the right side. For this pattern, I used the single crochet (another common stitch to use is the half double crochet).
The whip stitch is used to sew the 2 panels together. It creates a thick, sturdy seam that is invisible once turned right side out. Not to mention, it is super easy!
Metal flex frames were completely new to me and attaching them was a little tricky, so I filmed the process.
